Lay-Up is a charity providing cost-free programs centred on the culture of basketball designed to develop the skills kids need on and off the court.
purpose
Lay-Up is a community-based basketball program designed for children and youth (6-14) of all skill levels.
Our programs are delivered year-round in Toronto’s Neighbourhood Improvements Areas.
We provide high quality programming led by certified coaches with a 1:7 coach to participant ratio.
Our commitment to providing experiences, activities and learning opportunities off-the-court is embedded in the culture of basketball.
programs
Lay-Up basketball programs are offered throughout the school year and during the summer, with co-ed and Girls Only options.
All equipment and resources are provided, including jersey, water bottle and healthy snacks. We also provide sports bras and hijabs to all female participants.
Our programming is evidence-based, delivered by certified coaches and designed for players of all skills levels to have fun and develop their skills. Our on-court programs are complimented by off-court activities based in the culture of basketball.
